Viking Park (Pty) Ltd
Viking Park (Pty) Ltd, a company that acquired the rights to develop township land originally zoned for a provincial medical hospital, has an interesting history. In 1998, Sinovich Investments, along with other shareholders, invested in Viking Park (Pty) Ltd, obtaining a 34% stake in the business through a share capitalisation issue.
Following this investment, Viking Park (Pty) Ltd applied for the rights to develop the land. The majority of plots were subsequently sold off within 24 hours, while a few plots, designated as location pins 1-4 (shown above), were retained. These specific plots were sold to a subsidiary of Viking Park (Pty) Ltd named “Heideveld” and were subsequently developed.
Currently, Viking Park (Pty) Ltd’s portfolio management includes 8320 square meters of industrial space spanning location pins 1, 2, and 3, as well as a 1181-square-meter retail space located at location pin 4.
